Nandina domestica ‘Moon Bay’

Also known as Heavenly or the Sacred Bamboo, Nandina domestica is an elegant bamboo like semi or evergreen shrub with long unbranched stems.  'Moon Bay' is a variety in which the young foliage opens lime green in spring, maturing to a darker shade during the summer, then flaring to brilliant red in the autumn.  Small white yellow flowers appear in spring. Suitable for sunny sheltered spots in any fertile well drained soil, this Nandina will grow to a height and spread of around 60 cm after 10 years.  Protect from cold winds.
