We offer three main options to get your gardening goodies to you:
Last orders for Christmas delivery 4pm 21st of December
We aim to dispatch orders the next working day, which will be sent by Parcelforce 24hr or Royal Mail 24hr. Orders containing plants will only be dispatched Monday through Wednesday (to avoid plants being in transit over the weekend), orders made between Thursday and Sunday will be despatched on Monday. Sometimes, particularly during busy periods, it may take a little longer to dispatch your items. We will let you know when your order is dispatched and provide tracking information.
Our delivery rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, you can check this in the cart by clicking 'estimate shipping' at the lower left hand side, and entering your postcode. Rates start at £1.99 for a small selection of seeds or greetings cards, which can fit in an envelope; small orders under 1.5kg will be £3.99 Orders up to 25kg will be £6.99, an extra £6.50 is added for each additional 25kg.
If you buy a lot of heavy items, (delivery cost exceeds £75) this will be sent by pallet. You will need to ensure someone is available to receive the order on the delivery day, and that access is suitable for HGV’s. Delivery will be to the roadside. We understand this will be unsuitable for many customers. If you are looking to make a large order, and you live within a reasonable distance of Settle, North Yorkshire, but outside the automatic 'local delivery' radius; please get in touch as we may be able to arrange delivery ourselves for a much more reasonable price.
If in the event we notice a mistake in the calculated delivery cost, we reserve the right to correct the delivery price before dispatching your order. If we need to amend the delivery price we will contact you to advise and give you the option to cancel the order.
Unfortunately, we only offer delivery to mainland UK (Zone 1 on the map below). We cannot offer standard delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland or any other address outside the UK. If customers in UK Zones 2 & 3 wish to make orders, please contact us for a personal delivery quote. Failure to contact us before ordering from these areas may mean that your order is cancelled.
Under no circumstances will we deliver to PO boxes.
We understand that our delivery charges may seem high, but as a small business we do not have access to the same rates as some of our larger competitors. We are also keen to keep our product prices the same as they are in store, so that customers choosing local delivery and click and collect pay the same as they would in person. Some online websites, balance delivery costs with higher product pricing. We have chosen not to do this as we would have to increase our in-store prices too. Please bear this in mind, and compare the cost of the whole basket.
We will pack your order with the greatest of care, ensuring that plants have been well watered and are good condition before sending to you. However, plants are not the easiest thing to post and there may be some minor aesthetic damage when you receive your order. If your plants arrive in an unacceptable condition where they have suffered serious damage, or are unlikely to survive, we will replace or refund those items at our discretion in accordance with our terms.
We cannot post weed-killer or pesticides, so these items are only available for local delivery or click and collect.
Covid-19: We understand, due to higher than normal demand, some deliveries are taking longer than normal to arrive; please bear with us.
Orders over £15 can be delivered locally in our own Vans - great for bulky and heavy items that would otherwise be expensive to post. Please note that local delivery doesn't work with: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, or PayPal.
Our delivery rates are as following:
Zone A: Settle, Giggleswick, Langcliffe (2 miles) – Free over £15 you will need to use the discount code provided in the information at checkout.
Zone B: Rathmell, Stainforth, Long Preston, Wigglesworth, Hellifield, Austwick, Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Clapham, Airton, Malham (6 miles) - £3.00
Zone C: Tosside, Coniston Cold, Gargrave, Ingleton, Bentham, Skipton (15 miles) - £6.00 - We currently can’t offer this as a built in option on the website however we can arrange local delivery to these locations and sometimes further afield. To do so please get in touch by phone or email, and we will make arrangements for you.
We aim to deliver to Zone A within 24hrs, Zone B within 72hrs, & Zone C within 4 working days. If you require your items sooner, please get in touch, it may be possible to accommodate your request.
Covid-19: Our delivery driver will drop your order off safely in your garden and knock on the door. You do not need to answer, please allow the driver time to retreat to a safe distance of at least two meters. Please respect social distancing measures at all times; for both your safety, and ours.
If you would like to collect your order from our store, we would love to see you. Please let us know in the notes when you expect to collect your order to help us have the right products available at the right time. When you come to store please bring a copy of your order confirmation (or text message). We aim to have collections ready within 1 hour, but sometimes it may take longer, please wait until you have received confirmation that your order is ready to collect. We will hold your items for 5 days, after which time your order will be cancelled and products returned to stock.
Covid-19: Whilst Covid-19 remains a concern please do not come into store when you arrive to collect your order. If you have let us know when you will arrive for collection please follow the signs, otherwise please wait at the gate for a member of staff to serve you.
My order hasn’t turned up?… We’re a small company and we can’t always guarantee that things will be ready in the times noted above, but we do our best. So we would appreciate in the first instance that you give us a couple of days beyond when your order should arrive before contacting us. If by then it hasn’t arrived, please let us know and we will investigate it for you. We may have to ask you to wait a little longer if the problem is with the courier to allow them to investigate.
Can I change my order?... Sometimes, if it hasn’t been shipped, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.
My items arrived damaged?... Please get in touch before returning anything, we may request a photo before processing returns and refunds.
