A clump forming perennial growing to approximately 45cm high, Tradescantia 'Leonora' features dense clumps of erect sword shaped mid green leaves, spreading up to 50cm across that bear clusters of unusual three petalled violet blue flowers with golden stamens at their centre at the end of branching stems in summer. Cut back the flowerheads after fading to encourage further flowers, and discourage self seeding Will grow in sun or partial shade in any type of well drained but moist soil, and is fully hardy.
