Shipping policy

National Delivery:

We aim to dispatch orders within 3-5 working days. Orders containing plants will only be dispatched Monday through Wednesday (to avoid plants being in transit over the weekend), orders made between Thursday and Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. Sometimes, particularly during busy periods, it may take a little longer to dispatch your items. We will let you know when your order is dispatched and provide tracking information.

Our delivery rates are calculated at checkout based on weight.  You can check this in the cart by clicking 'estimate shipping' at the lower left hand side, and entering your postcode. 

If you buy a lot of heavy items, (delivery cost exceeds £75) this will be sent by pallet. You will need to ensure someone is available to receive the order on the delivery day, and that access is suitable for HGV’s. Delivery will be to the roadside. We understand this will be unsuitable for many customers. If you are looking to make a large order, and you live within a reasonable distance of Settle, North Yorkshire, but outside the automatic 'local delivery' radius; please get in touch as we may be able to arrange delivery ourselves for a much more reasonable price. 

If, in the event we notice a mistake in the calculated delivery cost, we reserve the right to correct the delivery price before dispatching your order. If we need to amend the delivery price we will contact you to advise and give you the option to cancel the order.

Unfortunately, we only offer delivery to mainland UK (Zone 1 on the map below). We cannot offer standard delivery to Northern Ireland,  Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland or any other address outside the UK. If customers in UK Zones 2 & 3 wish to make orders, please contact us for a personal delivery quote. Failure to contact us before ordering from these areas may mean that your order is cancelled.

Under no circumstances will we deliver to PO boxes.

We understand that our delivery charges may seem high, but as a small business we do not have access to the same rates as some of our larger competitors. We are also keen to keep our product prices the same as they are in store, so that customers choosing local delivery and click and collect pay the same as they would in person. Some online websites, balance delivery costs with higher product pricing.  We have chosen not to do this as we would have to increase our in-store prices too. Please bear this in mind, and compare the cost of the whole basket.

We will pack your order with the greatest of care, ensuring that plants have been well watered and are good condition before sending to you. However, plants are not the easiest thing to post and there may be some minor aesthetic damage when you receive your order. If your plants arrive in an unacceptable condition where they have suffered serious damage, or are unlikely to survive, we will replace or refund those items at our discretion in accordance with our terms.

We cannot post weed-killer or pesticides, so these items are only available for local delivery or click and collect.


Local delivery:

With the exception of customers within 2 miles, our local delivery service is subject to a minimum order of £15.00

Zone 1:  Settle, Giggleswick, Langcliffe (2 miles) – Free  (£2.50 for orders under £15)

Zone 2:  5 miles - £3  (Free for orders over £50.00)

Zone 3:  8 miles £4 (Free for orders over £50.00) 

Zone 4:  16 miles £5 (Free for orders over £50.00) 

As you checkout you will be asked to confirm the correct shipping method for your location, unfortunately the cart does not update automatically at this time. For customers who do not live in or en-route to one of the locations listed above please use the google maps route planner to check your distance from store. Failure to choose the correct delivery rate/distance may result in a delay to or cancellation of your order.

 

Please check your order address & contact details carefully as we will not accept liability for orders lost or delayed because we were provided with inaccurate information.

Timescales We aim to deliver to Zone 1 within 24hrs & Zones 2,3 & 4 within 4 working days. From time to time it may take a little while longer; if a significant delay is expected we will contact you to let you know and give you the option to cancel or amend your order. If you require your items sooner, please get in touch, it may be possible to accommodate your request.

Collections If you would rather collect your items from store you are welcome to do so, please let us know in the notes when you expect you collect your order, when you come to store please bring a copy of your order confirmation (or text message) We aim to have collections ready within 2 hours, please wait until you have received confirmation that your order is ready to collect. We will hold collections for 5 days, after 5 days we will re-fund the account used for purchase and cancel your order.
