Spiraea japonica 'Little Princess'
A dense and compact shrub with dark green, slightly toothed oval to spear shaped leaves. Clusters of rose-pink flowers from July to August which are attractive to bees and other pollinators. Usually grows to a maximum of about 50cm by up to 100cm across and is rabbit resistant as well as being untroubled by most pests and diseases. A great filler in a shrub bed, or in a cottage garden scheme, it also works well as a summer pot filler. One of the unsung heroes, Little Princess, is an integral part of the chorus line or supporting cast, but remember the stars are often only as good as the support acts they are surrounded by!
