Senecio barbertonicus is a fleshy succulent plant with long finger like upright and clump forming shoots. It makes a great patio or greenhouse plant in the summer, but as it needs to be protected from winter wet and hard frosts, it can be brought inside as a house plant in winter (actually it's happy as a houseplant anytime of year as long as it's in a bright spot!) Growing 40cm tall by 10 to 15 cm wide, the plant occasionally puts up yellow flowers on tall thin stems to add interest to the quirky foliage shape. Allow to dry out completely between waterings and then drench the plant. Do not water except very sparigly in the winter.
