Salix caprea - Kilmarnock WillowSold Out
The ever popular miniature version of the weeping willow, Salix caprea pendula, the Kilmarnock willow, arches gracefully, providing bright yellow coloured fluffy catkins in spring, which are extremely attractive to bees. The mid green ovate leaves have soft grey undersides providing a nice contrast year round. In the winter the reddish brown branches are still attractive, and can look absolutely stunning when hoared by frost. This tree is supplied as a top grafted version on a stem of 90cm. This means the stem will never grow higher, and only the top growth will continue to form a larger mound, making it perfect for growing in a patio cantainer or in a smaller garden. Willows like moist soil, but are otherwise quite unfussy.
