Penstemon Raven

A vigorous, upright, robust plant for use in mixed borders in sun or partial shade.  Prolific and dramatic dark purple red trumpet shaped flowers with white throats in July and August sit above massed, semi evergreen glossy green leaves.  Eventual height and spread c 60cm x 60cm As with all penstemon leave spring tidying of old and straggy stems until the risk of harsh frosts has gone.
