Penstemon 'Mother of Pearl' is a vigorous narrow leaved semi evergreen perennial with small, pretty tubular-shaped, pearl-mauve flowers tinted pink and white with a white throat and red marks inside.. Growing to a maximum height of up to 100cm, and spreading to around 60cm, it's tolerant of all soil types provided they are moist and well drained, and hardy as long as it isn't cut back when frosts are likely. Like all penstemon best to leave the annual tidy up until mid spring when the threat of the most severe frosts has passed. Prefers full sun or light shade.
