Virginia Creeper, also known as American Ivy, Parthenocissus quinquefolia is an extremely tough and vigorous, self clinging, deciduous climber. Will reach upwards of 12m in height and spread 4 to 8m, it has large, five lobed, red tinged green acer like leaves which colour brilliantly in the autumn before falling. Will suit most soil conditions and all aspects, and will grow on any wall, even in deep shade.
