'Neptune' is a new and smaller form of the catmint, which forms a neat and compact aromatic clump of green foliage through and out of which spikes of larger than average Neptune blue flowers appear in summer. Provided spent flowerheads are cut right back to the ground, it should continue to throw out new flowers for most of the summer Spreading to around 35cm x 35cm only, it's ideal for border and path edges, pots, containers, and even hanging baskets. Hardier than lavender, but can be used in much the same way. Likes a moist but well drained soil in a sunny or partially sunny position.
