Monarda Earl Grey

Monarda, also known as 'Bee Balm' is a magnet for pollinators.  it also makes a striking addition to any herbaceous border with it's erect stems atop of which sit dense whorls of aromatic crimson tubular flowers.  The lance shaped leaves form clumps of foliage, which is also aromatic.  Any well drained but moist soil will support this plant, which can grow to 80 or 90cm tall.
