DESCRIPTION
Compact and very floriferous habit, producing masses of blooms in 9 eye-catching colours. Quick to flower from seed and hardy down to -4°C. Ideal for sunny or shady borders and containers.
February to May
WHERE TO SOW
Under cover sow the seed on the surface of a lightly firmed, moist seed compost in trays or pots. Do not cover as light helps germination. Place at a temperature of between 18-20°C (64-68°F) until seeds germinate which usually takes 14-30 days.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting out after all risk of frost, 20-30cm (8-12") apart. For best results, provide a moist well drained soil in partial shade..
FLOWERS
June onwards.
HEIGHT
20-25cm (8-10")
HANDY TIP
Keep plants moist at all times to prolong the flowering period. Trim back plants after flowering and they will often give a second flush of blooms.
