Marigold Inca Mixed F1
An outstanding variety indeed! Enormous flower heads that can reach 8-10cm (3-4") across in a stunning mixture of gold, orange and yellow.
WHEN TO SOW
February to April
WHERE TO SOW
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C (70-75°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost 30cm (12") apart in well drained soil in full sun.
A fine choice for English Summers, as the flower heads shed rain and are not so prone to mildew. Dead head regularly to provide a summer-long display.
