Iris sibirica 'Snow Crest'
Iris sibirica 'Snow Crest' features ravishing pure white, slightly ruffled flowers with a touch of sumptuous gold on the fall. With longer petals and falls than some it has a lovely old fashioned feel to the plant. Iris Siberica has narrow thin grassy leaves, and the tall stems, to about 90cm max, have between 3-5 flowers per stem which planted 'en masse' look simply stunning. Siberian Iris are not water plants but will take damp conditions, making them great at the water's edge, preferring a slightly acid, moist but well drained soil, but are broadly tolerant of many other soil types. Can be divided by cutting through the rhizomes every few years, Extremely hardy.
