Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears' is an award winning miniature variety of hosta, and one of our absolute favourites. It soon makes mounds of perfectly formed overlapping blue-grey leaves, over which short stemmed lavender blue flowers appear perfectly to scale, in June and July. As a blue leaved variety it is pretty slug resistant and is ideal in borders, pots and cotainers, or practically anywhere that a miniature statement plant is required. Needs a moist and rich soil, but is hardy and pest resistant, thriving in partial to full shade and growing only to about 15cm high and wide.
