Also known as Meadowsweet and Queen of the Meadows, Filipendula ulmaria is a clump-forming perennial with green, strongly veined, leaves, white-downy beneath, and dense but airy plumes of creamy white flowers. Max Height 60cm to 90cm. Max Spread 60cm. Flowers May to August. Suitable for any dampish soil, either well or poorly drained, in sun or partial shade and suits any aspect. Extremely hardy, this is a native British wild flower and is very attractive to pollinators. Water thoroughly before planting.
