Masses of small apple blossom pink tubuar flowers adorn the glossy, small oval evergreen leaves from June until September, making this shrub a lovely backdrop to many other plants when placed at the back of a mixed border. Reasonably hardy once established, it nevertheless needs a sheltered spot in full sun to do best. Growing up to 2.5m wide and high if left unpruned it can certainly fill a space, but relatively easy to control and can also be used as a hedge. Holds an RHS Award of Graden Merit.
