Epimedium grandiflora ‘Lilafee’ is a hardy deciduous perennial which has handsome bronzy light green heart or shield shaped leaves which dance on wiry stems. In spring and early summer sprays of tiny lilac purple flowers hanging suspended on above on delicate stems. The shape of the flowers resembles an old four cornered hat, hence the common name of Bishop’s Hat, and they are a pure dainty spring delight. Grows 25 to 30cm high and up to 50cm across, making great ground cover, especially in shady places and under trees. Hardy throughout most of the UK, even in severe winters, and will perform well, even in full shade.
