Echinacea 'Skipper Orange'

Echinacea are wonderful perennial plants as their prominent central cones are magnets for bees and other pollinators.  Preferring moist but very well drained soil in full sun, they have erect clumps of dark green foliage.  'Skipper Orange' features a dense ring of orange petals surrounding a prominent central cone, ideal for both borders and containers. It has a compact habit with a good branching structure and will grow to around 50cm tall by 45cm wide.  Deadheading the spent flowers will encourage repeat flowering.  It prefers full sun in any moist but well drained soil.  Avoid sitting in waterlogged soil in winter.
