Digitalis x hybrida Illumination 'Cherry Brandy'
Sold OutThe Illumination series of foxgloves has been bred as a range of sterile hybrids, meaning that whilst they still produce nectar and attract pollinators, they don't set seed, so all their energy goes into continually producing flowers. They have a naturally branching habit, meaning that plants will each produce several spikes of flowers. The flowers of Illumination 'Cherry Brandy' are a striking shade of purple with contrasting orange throats, making them a real standout feature in any garden. Slightly more compact than many foxgloves they will raech a height of around a metre by 50cm, and will grow well in any type of moist but well drained soil, in sun or dappled shade. A very long flowering season from late June till mid autumn is an added bonus.
