Dianthus deltoides Dinetta Purple

This is a striking form of alpine dianthus.  Neat mounds of grey green foliage are topped all the way from late spring to early autumn by lovely vivid purple flowers in abundance.  A particularly hardy form this plant, which grows to as much as 290cm x 30cm in a favoured spot, will work just about anywhere in the garden in a sunny well drained spot.
