David Austin English Rose 'The Lark Ascending'

A very large shrub rose, growing 150cm x 150cm, 'The Lark Ascending' repeat flowers all summer long with heads of up to 15 beautiful, loosely formed open cup flowers of a gorgeous pale apricot, surrounding a central boss of golden stamens.  These heads of flowers are formed all the way from the bottom up, and have a lovely light myrrh fragrance, which also give way to rose hips in autumn.  An extremely healthy rose suiting all types of soil, and suitable for most aspects in sun or in partial shade.

English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and wek stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
