David Austin English Rose - 'Susan Williams Ellis'

'Susan Williams Ellis' is not only a beautiful pure white rose, it also appears to be almost completely free of all disease.  Featuring a medium strong Old Rose fragrance it is also extremely winter hardy with upright bushy, twiggy growth.  A repeat flowerer, making a shrub just over a metre high by 90cm wide, it will work in all soil types and aspects, as long as it gets at least partial sunlight.  A good rose for shady areas, as well as full sunlight, it will enhance any bed, grow well in a large pot and makes a great decorative low hedge. Introduced in 2010.

English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and weak stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
