'Summer Song' is a repeat flowerering unusually coloured rose, blooming from early summer into often late into the autumn, it makes a compact shrub just over a metre high and wide. It will work in all soil types which are moist, fertile and well drained aspects, but is best in full sun. The unusual orange red colour of the magnificent blooms will enhance any bed or large pot, and the beautifully modulated mixed tea scent, will waft deliciously through an English summer day. Introduced in 2005.
English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and weak stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
