David Austin English Rose - 'Lady of Shalott'
What a gorgeous stunner Lady of Shalott is! Rich orange red buds open to chalice shaped blooms, filled with loosely arranged orange blooms. The srrounding outer petals are salmon pink with beautifully contrasting golden yellow undersides. A pleasant warm Tea fragrance with hints of spiced apple and cloves adds greatlky to her appeal A repeat flowerer making a sturdy shrub just over a metre high and wide it will work in all soil types and aspects, as long as it gets at least partial sunlight. A good rose for shady areas, as well as full sunlight, it will enhance any bed, grow well in a large pot and makes a great decorative low hedge. Introduced in 2009.
English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and wek stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
