David Austin English Rose 'Gabriel Oak'

'Gabriel Oak' is a magnificently opulent rose, with large and striking luscious deep pink flowers, the outer petals of which fade to a lighter shade over time.  The shrub itself is large and rounded, reaching 1.25m x 1.25m and composed of mulberry purple stems and deep green foliage giving the whole shrub a rather majestic feel.  Really good aroma and a profuse flowerer, this rose was a 2019 introduction.

English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and wek stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
