Cowslip - Primula veris
Leaves are similar to the primrose and the familar creamy-yellow frangrant flowers are born on straight stems. Grow in the sun or partial shade in good garden soil.
WHEN TO SOW
May to October
In a tray, on the surface of good quality compost (without sand). Cover with glass until germination takes place. Germination may be slow, so be patient! To encourage the seed to break dormancy, it may be frozen and thawed several times by placing in the refigerator before sowing.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Transplant seedlings into pots and grow on until large enough to plant out in final growing positions.
April to May
Also knows as Paigale, Fairy Cups and Keys of Heaven.
