A rather unusual variety of clematis remarkable for masses of starry bright mauve pink flowers mid Summer to early Autumn, which also have a delicious marzipan scent. Suitable for a sunny or partially shaded spot and for any aspect, when on a well drained but moist soil. In the first season cut back to about a foot from the ground in February or March just above a good pair of buds. This encourages a stocky and bushy plant with plenty of stems. Subsequently prune back all stems to the desired shape, always to a good pair of buds. Ultimate size c 3.5m x 1.5m
