Campanula cochlearifolia Elizabeth Oliver
A beautiful little alpine variety of campanula, with neat clumps of small, heart shaped and toothed green leaves through which small clusters of nodding pale lavender blue bell shaped flowers on wiry stems thrust in summer. Ideal for a sunny rockery or on a low stone wall. Romatic plant which fully justifies it's nickname of 'Fairies thimbles'. Maximum height 10cm. Prefers moderately fertile, neatral or alkaline, sharply drained soil.
