A large and vigorous evergreen shrub with ovate and glossy dark green leaves. Pure white semi double flowers with fluffy yellow stamens at the centre appear in late winter and early spring. Plant in any conditions from partial to full shade, in good depp moist but well drained soil. This shrub may get to 3m high by 2m wide in time, but can be kept in check by pruning in spring after the flowers have faded.
