RIBES nigrum BLACKCURRANT Ben Tirran

A high yielding soft fruit with aromatic, lobed leaves and loose spikes of tiny, drooping, pale green flowers followed by strings of strong flavoured, black fruit. Space bushes 1.75m apart. Remove a quarter of the oldest branches during the dormant winter period, right to the ground.  A late flowering variety well suited to areas with late frosts.
