Blackcurrant Ben Connan

A high yielding, compact soft fruit with aromatic, lobed leaves and loose spikes of tiny, drooping, pale green flowers followed by strings of strong flavoured, black fruit. Space bushes 1.75m apart. Remove a quarter of the oldest branches during the dormant winter period, right to the ground.  An early flowering variety with outstanding leaf curling midge and foliar disease resistance and very large fruit.
