Bergenia 'Silberlicht'

Holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit, Bergenia 'Silberlicht' is a sturdy and floriferous variety of this groundcover favourite.  Often known as Elephant Ears due to the nature of the thick and leathery rounded leaves, 'Bergenias' are a great early spring offering. 'Silberlicht' features large clusters of white flowers with a prominent red calyces.  The flowers can fade to a very pale pink as they open.  Hardy and easy, bergenia will grow in almost any soil conditions except very wet or very dry and will thrive in full sun to almost full shade. This variety may reach 40cm high by 50cm wide in time.
