Clump-forming perennial with attractive lobed green leaves. Particularly useful in damp and partially shady parts of the garden. Masses of rose to pink bracts surround the small flowers, with the whole flowerhead resembling a pin cushion, hence the common name of Hattie's pincushion. The flowers often have a metallic lustre to them which enhances the appeal.Max Height 50cm. Max Spread 45cm. Flowers from early June through to September, and as with all astrantia, attracts all kinds of pollinators. Full sun/partial shade. Hardy. Water thoroughly before planting.
