Aster frikartii Monch features large lavender blue flowers surrounding a golden yellow centre, over sturdy, well-branching stems from July all the way through to the first frosts of autumn. Commonly known as michaelmas daisy Aster frikartii varieties are award winning and highly prized for vigorous growth and resistance to disease. Up to 60cm tall by 45cm wide, they prefer a well drained but moist soil in sun or partial shade.
