Aquilegia are an easy to grow cottage garden favourite, flowering in late spring and early summer. Spring Magic Blue and White grows to 30cm or so and is topped by 'Grannie's Bonnet' flowers of navy blue and white in spring and summer. The fern like foliage continues to look good even after the flowers have faded. Loved by pollinators, and sets seed easily, although the parent plant may be relatively short lived. Enjoys full sun or dappled shade in any type of well drained but moist soil.
