Scrumptious is a medium sized red eating apple. It has thinner skin than most, making for easy eating, and because of resistance to blossom frost damage is particularly suited to cooler Northern climes. The medium sized apples are a very appealing shade of red, and the texture is white and crisp, and whilst it is a sweet variety it never seems too sugary due to the combination of other background flavours. Self fertile and does not need a pollination partner, but does make a good partner for other varieties which do.
