A lovely compact clematis which only grows 1 to 2metres high high and has very dark, almost blood red flowers when they first open, fading to a cerise pink. A repeat flowering variety, firstly in May and June, and then usually has a second flush around September time. It's suitable for container growing, as well as uin the garden, and was named in honour of a town in Poland which defied the german invasion for 7 days in the second world war.
