Veronicastrum virginicum Album
WHICH POT SIZE?
9cm is the width of the pot. 1L, 1.5L and 3L describe how much it holds, rather than how tall the plant will grow.
A smaller pot gives you a young plant to grow on; a larger pot usually gives you a more established root system. Check the height and spread below for the room it will need in the garden.

Getting height into a perennial border is essential to create the right balance, and if it's height you're after then Veronicastrum virginicum 'Album' is certainly a classy and graceful plant to consider. Whorls of deep green spear like leaves with a bronze tint give rise in summer to long stems topped with spires of tiny pure white flowers which wave and weave in the breeze and attract myriad pollinators. A vigorous grower the plant can reach 1.2 metres or so in height and up 60 or 70cm spread when mature. Mature clumps can be split in early spring. The flowerheads can be used for cutting (the seedheads look amazing in winter if left on), and are also much prized by flower arrangers. Also known as Culver's Root, this plant is a beautiful addition to the herbaceous border. Quite tolerant of most soil conditions, fully hardy and low maintenance, so much to love indeed!
