Verbascum Pheoniceum

Verbascum phoenicium, commenly known as Mullein, is a tall and airy short lived perennial which forms basal rosettes of mid green textured and ovate leaves over which spikes of purple, pink or white coloured saucer shaped flowers form.  Good for pollinators, verbascum grow readily in poor well drained alkaline soils, up to 1 metre high and 0.5metres wide.
