Salvia nemerosa 'Ostfriesland' (East Friesland)

One of the hardiest of the perennial sage family, Salvia nemerosa 'Ostfriesland' makes a compact clump of fragrant narrow upright textured green leaves, topped with spikes of violet/lavender blue flower spikes in summer.  In sun or partial shade on any moist but well drained soil 'Ostfriesland' will grow anything up to 50cm x 50 cm.
