Neat clumps of silvery strawberry like leaves give rise for many weeks in midsummer to branching sprays of the familiar simple five petalled potentilla flowers in bright yellow with orange centres. Very hardy, argyophylla just needs a moist but well drained spot in a sunny position, from where it will give almost year round interest, growing to approx 35cm high and wide.
