An excellent variety of the diverse range of hosta species, Patriot forms a mound up to 55cm high of olive green slightly puckered or crumpled foliage edged with broad and irregular borders of cream. In summer the leaves are topped with spikes of bell shaped lavender flowers. This variety is suitable for pots, or for semi shaded areas of the border, woodland gardens etc, where it simply needs moist but well drained conditions, away from drying winds and harsh sunshine. Like most hostas needs protection from slugs, and we recommend spraying regularly with Grazers Slug Repellant.
