Hosta sieboldiana Frances WilliamsSold Out
Hosta 'Frances Williams is said to be among the most popular hostas ever introduced. It is a large variegated hosta with large, thick, puckered, veined, and broadly heart shaped, bluey green leaves, with broad and irregular margins in yellow, tinged green, maturing during summer to cream. In summer it carries compact racemes of pale lilac flowers on stems to about 75cm. An extremely hardy variety 'Frances Williams' makes a large plant up to a metre across and high in time. Great for lightening up a semi shady spot, which it prefers. The plant will benefit from division every 4 to 5 years to keep it vigorous and healthy.
