Cirsium Trevors Blue Wonder

A rather impressive ornamental thistle with large green spiky leaves and rather wonderful thistle heads of mauve purple flowers in summer. More of a deep purple than a blue, but very attractive to pollinators. Requires a moist soil in a sunny open spot, where it will achieve a height of between 100 and 120 cm.  Great in a naturalistic or wildlife garden.  Combines well with grasses.
