Miscanthus sinensis Strictus

An attractive, narrowly upright, clump forming grass with bold, straight, upward facing, strap shaped leaves with yellow cross bands.  Panicles of crinkly, silky, silvery grey flowerheads.  Will grow in most types of reasonably fertile moist but well drained soils in full sunlight.  Can reach up to 2.5m tall, though more commonly c 2m and clump 50 to  100cm across.  A very striking focal point plant.
