Prunus Okame

'Okamé' is a round headed small deciduous tree with ovate leaves  which colour wonderfully in autumn, turning orange and red.  Intense and beautiful single carmine-pink flowers, 2cm in width, are borne in profusion during March/April, making Prunus Okame a splendid little specimen tree in mixed plantings, in patio pots, or just on it's own.  Happy in any reasonably fertile free draining soil, this variety will grow to c 3 metres or so in 10 years.
