Katy is a hardy and vigorous apple tree, suitable for growing in colder climes. They do very well in Yorkshire! The bright red apples which are smallish, sweet and juicy follow the lovely display of white blossom in spring and ripen in early September. A heavy cropper, and a good pollinator for many other varieties, Katy is in pollination group 3. Suitable for any moist but well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade, but does need at least a half a days sunlight to fruit to it's best.
