Japanese Holly Fern. A very beautiful, evergreen fern with spreading glossy fronds and holly-like 'leaflets'. Max Height 60cm. Max Spread 90cm. hardy throughout most of the UK, although may benefit from mulching in the coldest of winters. Good in shady or semi shady spots, and in it's natural habitat likes to grow in rocky crevices on cliffsides, so useful in a rockery or woodland gorge, as well as more generally in garden schemes, however, as it doesn't mind slightly drier conditions also makes a very good houseplant in a bright room with some direct sunlight.
